" I don't trust you. Tell me how much exactly do you love me ? " I teased.

" That's a tough one, girl. " He thought for a moment. " Hmm... Okay. Count the stars. "

I scrunched my forehead. " Stars ? But it's daylight. "

He smirked. " Exactly. "

It took me a few seconds for the meaning to sink in. Then I hit him hard.

" Ouch ! You'll never stop doing that, won't you ? "

" A-class jerk. I've read that before by the way. Loser. " I stuck out my tongue.

He stared at me and smiled for a moment. I looked ahead at the field and ignored him.

" Come here, " he said. 

I eyed him. " No. " I tried to move away.

Adam pulled me back quickly and forced my head against his broad shoulder. He smells like Lavender.

" Now don't move and stay here quietly like a good puppy. "

" Hmph. "

It was all silent for a minute. The cool spring breeze blew through my hair and i saw a bright yellow Daisy taking flight.

" You know, what I meant earlier was it's impossible to count the stars, " his deep soothing voice whispered into my right ear. " That's how much I love you."
